Mosaic Prairie Rattery was created by the owner, Tyler, who has a love for his pet rats. He is a 13 year old child with Mosaic Down Syndrome, hence the name of his rattery. His love for his rats and his desire to educate and learn have led him to creating his own rattery. We are an AFRMA listed breeder, following AFRMA breeding and show quality rules. Whether you are looking for a pet, to show, or to breed yourself....or maybe all 3, please take a look at our website, Facebook page, or contact us directly. All of our rats are dumbo ear rats. We offer different coats, such as harley, rex, and as always, standard. Several available markings and colors are available depending on the given breeding pair at the given time. And healthy genetics are always a number one priority in our breeding program. We have litters always available, but not an abundance at once, as we want to focus on the health of each and every one of our litters so that they are super socialized and healthy prior to going to their forever homes. For that reason, we only have a limited amount of babies for sale at a given time so to not overload our rattery with too many babies at once, to the point that they all can not receive the individual attention and socialization that each rat baby deserves. So if you are considering a rat from us,, please keep in touch and contact us so that we can ensure to reserve a baby for you as they get adopted out fast. Most of our babies are able to go to their forever homes by 6 weeks old, as we believe the younger they are acquired into their new home, the more accustomed they will become with you, the owner. Any of our buyers are always welcome to know the genetic lines of each parent of their adopted rat. We feed all of our rats a staple block rat food and a fresh, organic, food diet to supplement. Our buyers are always welcome to inquire on exactly what we feed, and when we feed it.
We hope that everyone who adopts a pet rat from us will love them forever. We strive to provide the most healthy and socialized rats for the perfect pets for anyone. If however, anyone who adopts from us decides that a pet rat was not the best decision for a pet to fit their lifestyle, we encourage them to reach out to us as we can help place your pet into a different more suitable home. No pet should ever be a burden.
